 Visa Requirements
Business

1. Passport with a validity of at least three months after the intended stay. Indian Passports older than 10 years will not be accepted as the main required travel document i.e. Passport should have been issued within the previous 10 years. Passport should have at least two blank pages.

2. An original application form dully filled in and signed with a blue ball-point pen by the applicant

3. Two passport-size photographs (35 mm x 45 mm) with the head centered in the frame & against a white background

4. Proof of Travel Insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 and an extra cover for further 15 days after the duration of visit in Spain / Schengen Area.

5. Covering letter on company letterhead explaining in details the purpose of the visit that the applicant intends to undertake.

6. If the purpose of the visit is a business trip, an original letter from the Spanish company or companies receiving him explaining the nature of the existing relation and the motive of the visit. It is not necessary that the company gets in touch directly with the Embassy.

7. If the purpose of the visit is a business trip, all the documents that the applicant may deem appropriate to attach in order to show the economic situation of the company, the ownership of the company and the business activity undertaken.

8. If the purpose of the visit is any other than the business trip (for example: conferences, participation in sports events, studies, cultural activities, etc.) all the documents which may justify the motive of the visit.

9. Photocopy of Applicant's PAN Card.

10. Bank Statement (personal) for the last six months.

11. Income Tax Returns (personal) for the last three years.
Salary Slips for the last six months.

12. Photocopy of all the pages of the passport (even the blank pages).

13. Evidence of accommodation during the stay in the Schengen countries.


5 TO 7 WORKING DAYS

Tourist

1. Passport with a validity of at least three months after the intended stay. Indian Passports older than 10 years will not be accepted as the main required travel document i.e. Passport should have been issued within the previous 10 years. Passport should have at least two blank pages.

2. An original application form dully filled in and signed with a blue ball-point pen by the applicant .

3. Two passport-size photographs (35 mm x 45 mm) with the head centered in the frame & against a white background.

4. For Minors
a) Application form to be signed by both the parents. Copies of passports of the parents attested by a notary will be attached.

b) If traveling with one of the parents a NO Objection Affidavit from other parent must be provided.

5. Proof of Travel Insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 and an extra cover for further 15 days after the duration of visit in Spain / Schengen Area.

6. Covering letter explaining in details the purpose of the visit that the applicant intends to undertake.

7. If the purpose of travel is to visit friends or relatives, an invitation made before the Spanish Police and an attested copy of the passport or the national identity card of the person receiving the applicant in case he / she is Spanish or a European Union citizen, or of the residence permit of the person inviting the applicant in case he / she happens to be Indian or a citizen of another non-EU country.

8. Photocopy of Applicant's PAN Card.

9. Bank Statement (personal) for the last six months.

10. Income Tax Returns (personal) for the last three years.
Salary Slips for the last six months.

11. Photocopy of all the pages of the passport (even the blank pages).

12. Evidence of accommodation during the stay in the Schengen countries.

13. Reservations for plane or other means of transport comprising the whole itinerary intended.

Important!
•Employed applicants to submit a letter from the employer with details of employment and leave.
•Self employed applicants to submit proof of business i.e. firm's registration or partnership deed.
•Unemployed applicants and students can submit their spouse's / parent's financial papers AND a letter of employment or business.
•Copy of marriage certificate wherever necessary for e.g. if wife's passport is in maiden name.

Minimum 7 to 10 working days

Note : The passanger those who are having their old passport should send their old passport along with the new passport stapled together just to enable the embassy to know the travel history of the passenger.
